The International Journal of Economics and Management Review (IJEMR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and transparency. The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal reflects the work quality of its author(s) and their pertaining institution(s). Therefore, it is essential to establish ethical standards for all parties involved in the publishing process.

The following policies are in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. These policies govern all editorial and publishing activities of the Journal and apply to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. COPE Core Practices

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties of the Editors

• Publication Decisions & Fair Play: The editors are responsible for deciding which of the submitted articles should be published, based purely on validation of the work and its intellectual contents, without regard to race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the author(s).
• Confidentiality & Conflicts of Interest: Editors must not disclose any information on a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the relevant parties. Editors should recuse themselves from considering manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest. 

Duties of the Reviewers

• Contribution & Promptness: A peer review assists the editor-in-chief in making editorial decisions. Any referee who feels unqualified or unable to provide a prompt review should notify the editor and excuse themselves.
• Confidentiality & Objectivity: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential. Reviews should be conducted objectively with clear supporting arguments, avoiding personal criticism. COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers

Duties of the Authors

• Reporting Standards & Originality: Authors must present an accurate account of the original research performed. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is intolerable.
• Multiple Publications & Fundamental Errors: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is unacceptable. Authors must also promptly notify the editor to retract or correct the paper if significant errors are discovered after publication. COPE's guidance on Allegations of misconduct

CORE EDITORIAL POLICIES

1. Authorship and Contributorship Policy

Authorship is limited to those who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All listed authors must have approved the final version and agreed to be accountable for the work. Individuals whose contributions do not meet authorship criteria must be properly acknowledged. 2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy

The use of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process must be explicitly disclosed in the manuscript. AI tools cannot be listed as an author, as they cannot take responsibility for the submitted work. Authors are fully responsible for the factual accuracy and integrity of the content generated by AI. 3. Complaints and Appeals Policy

IJEMR provides a clear mechanism for submitting complaints or appeals concerning editorial decisions, peer-review processes, or publication ethics. Complaints will be acknowledged promptly and handled objectively and confidentially. COPE's guidance on Complaints and appeals

4. Research Misconduct Policy

The Journal takes allegations of research misconduct seriously, including plagiarism, data fabrication/falsification, redundant publication, and citation manipulation. 5. Conflicts of Interest Policy

All authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the research, review, or editorial decision-making process. 6. Data Sharing and Reproducibility Policy

IJEMR encourages transparency by requiring authors to make research data, methods, and materials available whenever possible. Authors should include a data availability statement explaining how supporting data can be accessed. COPE's guidance on Data and reproducibility

7. Ethical Oversight Policy

Research published in the Journal must comply with internationally recognized ethical standards, particularly for studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data. Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval and informed consent where applicable. COPE's guidance on Ethical oversight

8. Intellectual Property and Open Access Policy

IJEMR operates under an Open Access model. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the Journal the right of first publication under a Creative Commons license. Cases of intellectual property infringement are handled transparently. COPE's guidance on Intellectual property

9. Post-Publication Discussion Policy

The Journal supports scholarly dialogue after publication, allowing readers to raise questions or provide critiques. 10. Corrections and Retractions Policy

IJEMR is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the scholarly record. Minor errors are corrected through formal notices (errata/corrigenda), while articles may be retracted in cases of serious error or ethical violations.
