Smart Education and Instruction (SEI) is firmly committed to the principles of open scientific exchange. We operate as a peer-reviewed, fully open-access journal, ensuring that all published research is immediately and freely available on the public internet. We believe that eliminating financial barriers to research supports a greater global exchange of knowledge, promotes educational equity, and accelerates innovations across educational, social, and economic sectors.

To guarantee true open access, SEI adheres to the following principles:

1. Unrestricted User Rights (BOAI Compliance) In strict accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access, users are granted the unrestricted right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles. Users may also crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or utilize them for any other lawful non-commercial or commercial purpose, without seeking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

2. Zero Barriers to Access We guarantee that there are no financial, legal, or technical barriers to accessing our content—other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. SEI does not charge readers any subscription fees, pay-per-view fees, or require registration walls to read or download the published materials.

3. Open Licensing Integration To legally protect these open-access freedoms, all articles in SEI are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license ensures that the public can freely share and adapt the work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors.
