Copyright & License

EBCAS requires that authors retain copyright to their published work. Authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish, distribute and archive the work in all media and formats. Publication under this licence does not transfer ownership of copyright to the journal.

All articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution licence (CC BY) or another specified Creative Commons licence. This licence permits anyone to copy, share, distribute and adapt the work, provided the original author and the journal are credited as the source.

Authors may reuse, republish or adapt their own published content in future works, including books, teaching materials, and other scholarly publications, without seeking additional permission from the journal, provided that the original publication is properly acknowledged. This reflects common practice in open access publishing and supports broad dissemination and reuse of scholarly work.

Authors must ensure that any third-party material included in their submissions is used with appropriate permission and clearly credited. The journal does not assume responsibility for securing rights for third-party content.

This revised approach aligns with standards in open access journal policies and supports authors’ ongoing scholarly use of their work without unnecessary restrictions.
